‘Sec. 3. Initial Representative of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs. Notwithstanding the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 3, section 1, the Tribal Clerk of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs shall, on or before the day preceding the convening of the 127th Legislature, furnish to the Clerk of the House of Representatives a certification of the name and residence of the member of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs appointed by the Aroostook Band of Micmacs to represent it to the Legislature in the 127th Legislature.
Sec. 4. Salary, expenses and travel of initial Representative of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs. Notwithstanding the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 3, section 2, for the 127th Legislature, the member of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs appointed by the Aroostook Band of Micmacs to represent it to the Legislature is entitled to a salary equal to the salary of a member of the Senate or the House of Representatives and the same allowance for meals, constituent services, housing and travel expenses as is provided to members of the House of Representatives.
Sec. 5. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and allocations are made.

Sec. 6. Contingent effective date. This Act does not take effect unless, within 90 days of the adjournment of the First Regular Session of the 126th Legislature, the Secretary of State receives written certification by the Tribal Council of the Aroostook Band of Micmacs that the band has agreed to the provisions of this Act, copies of which must be submitted by the Secretary of State to the Secretary of the Senate, the Clerk of the House of Representatives and the Revisor of Statutes.
In no event may this Act become effective until 90 days after the adjournment of the First Regular Session of the 126th Legislature.’
