An Act To Retain the Position of Parent Coordinator in the Judicial Branch
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 19-A MRSA §1659, sub-§9, as enacted by PL 2009, c. 345, §2, is repealed.
summary
Current law allowing a court to appoint a 3rd party as a parent coordinator to oversee and resolve disputes that arise between parents in interpreting and implementing a parenting plan set by the court contains a self-repealing provision by which the law is repealed on January 1, 2014. This bill eliminates that repeal.
