An Act To Allow a Person To Possess Small Game in Excess of That Person's Possession Limit
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §11161 is enacted to read:
§ 11161. Exceeding the possession limit on small game
A person may possess in that person's domicile a small game animal in excess of the possession limit for that small game animal if the small game animal is identified with the name and address of the person who legally possesses that animal and the date it was taken by that person. For purposes of this section, "small game animal" includes but is not limited to a ruffed grouse, bobwhite quail, pheasant, woodcock, common snipe, wild duck, goose, rail, gray squirrel and snowshoe hare.

This bill allows a person to possess in that person's home a small game animal in excess of the possession limit if the small game animal is marked with the name and address of the person who legally possesses that animal and the date it was taken by that person.
