Amend the bill in Part B in section 4 in §569 in the 3rd line from the end (page 3, line 2 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " 15103-A" and inserting the following: ' 15205-A'
Amend the bill in Part C by inserting after section 14 the following:
‘Sec. C-15. 32 MRSA §15106, first ¶, as amended by PL 1999, c. 386, Pt. W, §9, is further amended to read:
The commissioner shall appoint and may remove for cause when so appointed , a person to be chief inspector at any time the office may become vacant. The chief inspector must have, at the time of the appointment, not fewer than 5 years' practical experience with steam boilers as a steam engineer, mechanical engineer, boilermaker or boiler inspector as described in section 15103-A.’
Amend the bill in Part D by striking out all of section 24.
Amend the bill by inserting after Part E the following:

Initiative: Reduces Personal Services and All Other allocations to reflect the savings associated with the repeal of the Board of Boilers and Pressure Vessels and the Board of Elevator and Tramway Safety effective October 1, 2013.

SUMMARY
This amendment adds provisions describing the requirements for appointment to the position of Chief Inspector of Boilers and Pressure Vessels to the bill. It also removes the section of the bill that repeals the statutory language concerning assumption of the risk for injury when hang gliding. The amendment also adds an appropriations and allocations section.
