An Act To Expand Migratory Waterfowl Hunting Opportunities

Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §11205, sub-§1, ¶A,  as enacted by PL 2003, c. 414, Pt. A, §2 and affected by c. 614, §9, is amended to read:

Sec. 2. Waterfowl hunting on Sunday in coastal zone. The Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife shall amend Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Rule Chapter 4: Hunting and Trapping in section 4.02: Migratory Birds to allow for Sunday migratory waterfowl hunting during the 2nd duck hunting open season in the coastal zone for a person who has a valid migratory waterfowl permit.

This bill allows Sunday migratory waterfowl hunting during the 2nd duck hunting season established by rule by directing the Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife to amend the rule for that duck hunting season to allow for Sunday hunting.
