Resolve, To Study Climate Change and Implement the Recommendations of the Department of Environmental Protection Report on Climate Change

Sec. 1. Study. Resolved: That the Department of Environmental Protection shall resume its study of climate change pursuant to Resolve 2009, chapter 16 with reference to the report entitled "People and Nature Adapting to a Changing Climate: Charting Maine's Course," submitted to the Joint Standing Committee on Natural Resources during the Second Regular Session of the 124th Legislature, and shall submit a completed plan with necessary implementing legislation by February 27, 2015 to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over environmental and natural resources matters. The joint standing committee is authorized to submit a bill to the First Regular Session of the 127th Legislature.
