An Act To Provide Customers with Itemized Bills

Sec. 1. 35-A MRSA §7110  is enacted to read:

§ 7110.  Voice service providers, cable system operators and Internet service providers; itemized billing

A public service provider shall provide annually to each of its customers with an account address in this State an itemized bill delivered by the United States Postal Service that includes an explanation of all charges, fees and taxes applicable to the customer's account. For purposes of this section, "public service provider" means a cable system operator, as defined in Title 30-A, section 3008, subsection 1-A, an Internet service provider, as defined in Title 5, section 200-B, subsection 1-A or a voice service provider.
