An Act To Allow Candidate Name Tags on Election Day
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 21-A MRSA §682, sub-§3, ¶D is enacted to read:
D. This subsection does not prohibit a candidate who stands outside the polls within 250 feet of the entrance to the voting place or the building in which the registrar's office is located from wearing a name tag. The name tag must be white with black lettering and include the candidate's name and the office for which the candidate is running and may not be larger than 1 1/2 inches by 3 inches.
