An Act To Establish Minimum Fuel Economy Standards for State Vehicles
Sec. 1. 5 MRSA §1824-B is enacted to read:
§ 1824-B. Minimum fuel economy standards for newly acquired motor vehicles
A newly acquired motor vehicle of the State, except for an emergency vehicle, must have a fuel economy standard that exceeds by at least 10 miles per gallon the corporate average fuel economy standard established by the United States Department of Transportation, National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
SUMMARY
This bill requires that a newly acquired motor vehicle of the State must have a fuel economy standard that exceeds by at least 10 miles per gallon the corporate average fuel economy standard established by the United States Department of Transportation, National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
