Amend the bill in section 1 in §1824-B in the first paragraph in the last line (page 1, line 7 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " Highway Transportation" and inserting the following: ' Highway Traffic'

This amendment exempts vehicles over 6,000 pounds from the requirement that a newly acquired motor vehicle of the State exceed fuel economy standards as specified in the bill.
