Amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting the following:
‘An Act To Establish a Minimum Percentage of Plug-in Electric or Hybrid Electric Vehicles for State Vehicles’
Amend the bill by striking out everything after the enacting clause and before the summary and inserting the following:
‘Sec. 1. 5 MRSA §1824-B is enacted to read:
§ 1824-B. Minimum percentage of plug-in electric or hybrid electric vehicles for newly acquired passenger motor vehicles
Annually, beginning July 1, 2014, 10% of newly acquired passenger motor vehicles of the State, except for emergency vehicles, must be plug-in electric or hybrid electric vehicles.’

This amendment replaces the bill. It requires that annually, beginning July 1, 2014, 10% of newly acquired passenger motor vehicles of the State, excluding emergency vehicles, must be plug-in electric or hybrid electric vehicles.
