Resolve, Directing the Public Utilities Commission To Convene a Stakeholder Group To Study Reimbursement for Installation of Utility Poles
Sec. 1. Public Utilities Commission to convene stakeholder group. Resolved: That the Public Utilities Commission shall convene a stakeholder group to study the issues surrounding reimbursement to persons who have paid for the installation of utility poles and may invite the participation of representatives of transmission and distribution utilities, telecommunications utilities, real estate developers, construction contractors, municipalities and other interested parties; and be it further
Sec. 2. Report. Resolved: That, no later than January 1, 2014, the Public Utilities Commission shall report the results of the study under section 1 along with any recommended legislation to the Joint Standing Committee on Energy, Utilities and Technology. The Joint Standing Committee on Energy, Utilities and Technology may submit a bill related to the subject matter of the report to the Second Regular Session of the 126th Legislature.
