Amend the bill in section 1 in §10123 in subsection 3 in the first line (page 1, line 12 in L.D.) by inserting after the following: " payments" the following: ' from schools, including, but not limited to, payments'

Amend the bill in section 1 in §10123 in subsection 3 in the last line (page 1, line 15 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " loans; and" and inserting the following: ' loans.'

Amend the bill in section 1 in §10123 by striking out all of subsection 4 (page 1, lines 16 to 18 in L.D.)

Amend the bill in section 2 in the 2nd line from the end (page 1, line 24 in L.D.) by striking out the following: "2,000" and inserting the following: '20,000'

SUMMARY

This amendment adds private schools to the list of the types of schools that may take advantage of the school energy savings program at the Efficiency Maine Trust. It expands the types of payments that the Efficiency Maine Trust may receive from schools, removes the rule-making requirement and clarifies that funds that may be available from the United States Department of Agriculture are for school districts with a population of less than 20,000 people.
