Amend the amendment in section 1 in subsection 3 in the last line (page 1, line 24 in amendment) by inserting after the following: " subchapter 2-A." the following: ' Nothing in this subsection requires the department to pay a quality differential rate for child care services provided through the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families block grant.'

Amend the amendment in the 5th indented paragraph after the title in the first line (page 1, line 32 in amendment) by striking out the following: "6" and inserting the following: '7'

SUMMARY

This amendment provides that the Department of Health and Human Services is not required to pay a quality differential rate for child care services provided through the Temporary Assistance to Needy Families block grant.

It also removes the appropriations and allocations section.
