summary
This amendment increases the sales tax to 6% for the same duration as the temporary sales tax increase proposed in Committee Amendment "A." This amendment also funds state-municipal revenue sharing at the same level as in fiscal year 2013-14 for the 2014-2015 biennium. Revenue generated by the additional 1/2% sales tax above that needed for the flat funding of state-municipal revenue sharing is transferred to the Maine Budget Stabilization Fund.
