Joint Order, To Review the Dairy Tier Program

ORDERED, the Senate concurring, that:

1. Review; submit legislation; First Regular Session. The Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry shall review the Maine dairy stabilization tiers of production and target prices established pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 7, section 3153-B and, based on its review, may submit to the First Regular Session of the 126th Legislature a bill to set rates for the next biennium; and

2. Review; submit legislation; Second Regular Session. The Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry may review during the Second Regular Session of the 126th Legislature the Maine dairy stabilization tiers of production and target prices established pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 7, section 3153-B and, based on its review, may submit to the Second Regular Session of the 126th Legislature a bill to amend established rates.
