Fiscal Detail and Notes
This legislation repeals PL 2011, c. 416, which permitted the sale, purchase and use of consumer fireworks.  It would reduce General Fund revenue by $396,340 in fiscal year 2014-15 and revenue sharing by $20,860 in fiscal year 2014-15 as a result of the loss of sales tax revenue.  It would also result in General Fund savings to the Department of Public Safety of $141,682 in fiscal year 2014-15 by removing the appropriation and the two positions added by PL 2011, c. 416.  It would also result in a reduction of Other Special Revenue Funds allocation to the Department of Public Safety of $22,500 beginning in fiscal year 2014-15.  Other Special Revenue Funds revenue to the Department of Public Safety would decrease by $22,500 beginning in fiscal year 2014-15 as a result of the loss of revenue from the issuance of consumer fireworks licenses.
