Currently the
Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) reimburses the Finance Authority
of Maine (FAME) for any expenses FAME incurs to provide assistance to the
Fund Insurance Review Board. Removing FAME from this function will mean that
the DEP will no longer reimburse FAME but will handle the administrative
expenses directly. There should be no net fiscal impact to any of the
entities involved. |
