This legislation
eliminates the Maine Communications System Policy Board and transfers its
powers and duties to the Bureau of Consolidated Emergency
Communications. The Department of
Public Safety would recognize minor General Fund savings for personnel no
longer having to serve on this board.
Any additional costs to the Department of Public Safety, Bureau of
Consolidated Emergency Communications as a result of this legislation can be
absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
