Allowing a county
jail to retain savings generated from reduced jail expenditures to pay debt
may increase the amount of funding the State Board of Corrections needs to
support county jail operational costs.
The General Fund amount that may be required cannot be estimated at
this time and will depend on the individual actions of the jails. |
