This legislation
removes the exception in current law related to filing an application to
change party enrollment in the event the person changes residence from one
municipality to another. This removal
would require a one-time Federal Expenditures Fund allocation to the
Department of Secretary of State of $6,400 in fiscal year 2013-14 for
programming changes to the Central Voter Registration System. It is estimated that 80 hours of
programming would be required at a
rate of $80 per hour. The
department will use existing Help America Vote Act funding for this
programming. |
