Expanding Medicaid
coverage for family planning services to individuals who have incomes less
than or equal to 200% of the Federal Poverty Line (FPL) would have a cost to
the State beginning if and when the Medicaid State Plan Amendment (SPA) is
submitted and approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
Services. There is also the potential
for increased family planning coverage to reduce costs from avoiding
pregnancies and other services. The
timing and magnitude of these costs and potential savings cannot be
determined at this time. |
