a preference for in-state bidders or to bidders offering commodities produced
or manufactured in Maine on State contracts or purchases under $100,000, the
State may be required to award contracts or purchases that will cost more
than the lowest bidder. |

This bill
includes a General Fund appropriation of $215,796 in fiscal year 2013-14 and
$183,194 in fiscal year 2014-15 for the Department of Administrative Services
for 2 Management Analyst I positions to monitor and enforce the preference
for in-state bidders or Maine products. |
