Additional costs
associated with the Department of Environmental Protection studying and
identifying best practices to reduce the amount of solid waste disposal,
increase recycling of solid waste and generate revenue for municipalities
from recycling activities can be absorbed within existing budgeted
resources. The department undertakes
similar efforts due to the existing statutory obligation to update the
State's Waste Management and Recycling Plan. |
