|
Restricting the
use of federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits to certain
food items will increase taxable sales to the State. Assuming the State receives the United
States Department of Agriculture's approval of the State's waiver request for
this restriction, this change in taxable sales would increase General Fund
revenue by $641,250 and Municipal Revenue Sharing revenue by $33,750 in FY
2014-15. No revenue can be booked at
this time as the waiver request has yet to be sent to or approved by the
United States Department of Agriculture. |
|
Additional costs
to the Department of Health and Human Services are expected to be minor and
can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources. |
