The amendment
replaces the bill and requires the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) to study
the potential benefits and barriers involved in making renewable thermal
technologies eligible for qualification in Maine's Renewable Portfolio
Standard and report to the First Regular Session of the 127th Legislature.
The only remaining fiscal impact is a minor cost to the PUC to study and
monitor certain out-of-state legislation and rules that can be absorbed
within existing budgeted resources. |
