Designating the
Maine State Housing Authority (MSHA) as the entity to receive and allocate
funds from the National Housing Trust Fund established by the federal Housing
and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 will have no fiscal impact on the State as
the funds will be dispersed directly to MSHA and not through the State. MSHA anticipates receiving approximately
$3.0 million annually to be used to increase and preserve the supply of
rental housing for extremely low and very low income households. |
