§1971. Chief Information Officer; appointment; qualifications
The Commissioner of Administrative and Financial Services shall appoint the Chief Information Officer. The Chief Information Officer must be a qualified professional person who shall:

Policy-making information.
Direct, coordinate and oversee information technology policy making, planning, architecture and standardization; and

Provide services.
Direct and oversee the provision of information technology and enterprise services in data processing and telecommunications throughout State Government.
