About the Executive Director's Office
The Executive Director's Office prepares and administers all legislative budgets and accounts, provides payroll and expense account services for legislators and legislative staff, maintains personnel records, provides accounts and control services and is responsible for the Legislature's physical facilities and equipment.
The Executive Director is the executive officer of the Legislature when it is not in session and works in cooperation with the Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House to arrange for incoming sessions of the Legislature and other administrative duties. The Director is appointed by the Legislative Council and works under its direction. The Executive Director is responsible for appointing nonpartisan legislative employees and for directing and supervising the activities of the nonpartisan legislative staff offices.
