§5151

§5144. Discontinuance of service

No railroad or railroad company may discontinue service to any point served prior to January 1, 1982, unless the railroad or railway company has filed with the Department of Transportation and with any municipality affected by the discontinuance of service and, in the case where service is discontinued solely to one shipper, with that shipper, a written notice of intention to discontinue that service.
