§1232

§1231. Blood sample for laboratory test

Every physician attending a woman in the State by reason of her being pregnant during gestation shall in the case of every woman so attended take or cause to be taken, with her consent, a sample of blood of such woman, and submit such sample for a standard serological test for syphilis and Rh factors to a laboratory of the department or to a laboratory approved for these tests by the department. Such laboratory tests as are required by sections 1231 to 1234 must be made on request without charge by the department.   [RR 2009, c. 2, §18 (COR).]
