§403. Officer to pay money collected

Any officer, who unreasonably neglects or refuses, on demand, to pay money received by him on execution to the person entitled to the money, shall pay 5 times the lawful interest on that money so long as the officer retains the money.   [PL 1987, c. 737, Pt.
